This Drupal website has the default OOTB publishing workflow enabled.
This allows for content to be passed through a number of different publishing states, depending on what the user permissions are.
Each "Basic Page" has three states, Draft, Published and Archived.
A Content Editor can:
- Create a new Draft
- Edit existing Draft
A Content Approver can:
- Create a new Draft
- Edit existing Draft
- Delete a Draft
- Publish a Draft
- Archive a Published page
- Restore an Archived page to Draft
- Restore an Archived page to Published
On top of this, Administrator level users can publish content directly to Published state.
During each of these state transitions, log messages can be left which can be viewed on the Revisions page, allowing users with elevated permissions to view a history of the edits to the page.
