Content editor permissions

Custom editor permissions have been setup in order streamline the content editing experience, while also still allowing the site to be fully configured by Administrative users.

User permissions have been edited to restrict what the user can see to only what is required by their role.

For example the Administrative Toolbar at the top has been limited to just "Content" for the Content Editor and Content Approver roles.

With granular permissions over which user levels access, we can easily create tailored permissions for our users.

And since User Roles are stackable, you could create a role for News Author that only has access to publish News content and assign that to all of the users in the News and Media team, and a Taxonomy Manager role that has access to manage the terms in the various Taxonomies.

Then apply both roles to a single user, for example the director of the News and Media team, giving them the ability to author News and manage Taxonomies.

There is no limit to the number of Roles that can be created or assigned to a user.Â
